On May 25, 2020 police officer Derek Chauvin MURDERED George Floyd on camera in Minneapolis, MN for the world to witness. The following weeks would be filled with worldwide protests. I felt obligated to hit the streets of Los Angeles with the people. So I gathered my camera gear and hit the pavement to document the protests happening around the Los Angeles area during the month of June. BLACK JUNE represents the struggle, the fight, the on-going war against systemic oppression and white supremacy in America. This is my experience through film and photo at several protests in L.A. during the month of June. This series is dedicated to all of the victims of police brutality. BLACK LIVES MATTER.
